Sam Theth is a Southern Minnesota Photographer. Born in a Thailand refugee camp and raised Cambodian. He grew up in the times of film cameras. Taught himself by reading and watching videos on photography.

Our family came to the USA after the Vietnam War. We had fled the country and headed for Thailand’s refugee camps. That is when we got sponsored by a great family and came to the united states.

I needed to keep myself busy so I bought myself a cheap camera after watching some videos. What other way to make extra money and capture moments that won’t ever happen again.

I am always learning new tricks and processes in photography. That is something that will never get old to me. This journey has been amazing.
